All money used to support any campaign activity in any jurisdiction must come ONLY from individuals eligible to register to vote in that election. This would apply to all elections at any level - from School Board to City Council to State Senate. REASONING: 1. Elected officials only vote in their constituent's interests less than 11% of the time, yet vote in their economic interests nearly 100% of the time, because we have separated the economic interests of our elected officials from the political power of the voters; 2. While elections are only one pathway where special interests are able to direct economic influence at the moment, elections are a discrete event where rules that can reconnect economic power to voting power are enforceable; 3. By restricting economic influence so it can only come from a voter in that election, the voter becomes the arbiter of the appropriateness of that influence, reducing the likelihood of negative influence.
See above = this realigns voting power with economic power that is equitable per jurisdiction.
Side benefit: this could also be done at a State level, so does not need to wait for national action.
I also like the idea that it must be people.
