Persons convicted of a felony cannot run for the office of president. Neither can persons under investigation for fraud, corruption or violent crimes.
My concern is the portion regarding persons 'under investigation' for fraud, etc. As we now know, anyone can be under investigation for fraud, etc. So while I support the concept, I would like to have a least a judgment or conviction as the threshold.
Sure people make mistakes, but deceit is a character flaw and a violent nature is unacceptable in a decision-maker at this level. There are better candidates.
